Goldstar Renovations is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and motivated Handyman Helper / Remodeling Technician to join our growing team. We are a family-owned remodeling company that takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, and eager to learn. While previous remodeling or construction experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and is motivated to build a career in the remodeling industry.
This position will ride with our Lead Technician to customer job sites throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area also Plano
Duties
- Assist with residential remodeling and handyman projects
- Interior and exterior painting
- Drywall installation and drywall repair
- Tape, bed, texture, and drywall finishing
- Popcorn ceiling removal
- Trim installation and finish carpentry
- Baseboards, crown molding, and door casing installation
- Door installation and repairs
- Cabinet installation and repairs
- Flooring installation and repairs
- Minor framing and carpentry
- Caulking and finishing work
- Demolition and job site preparation
- Load and unload materials and tools
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Protect customer property during projects
- Follow all company safety procedures
- Perform other duties assigned by the Lead Technician or Management
- Have some construction, remodeling, or handyman experience (preferred but not required)
- Be willing to learn new skills
- Be respectful to customers and coworkers
- Be able to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Reliable transportation to the daily meeting location
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred
- Valid Texas Driver's License is a plus
Qualifications
- Previous construction or remodeling experience preferred
- Painting
- Drywall
- Tape & Bed
- Popcorn Ceiling Removal
- Trim Carpentry
- Basic Carpentry
- Handyman Repairs
- Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Reliable transportation to the daily meeting location
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn

- Able to work independently and as part of a team

Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Some Saturdays as needed
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
