- Inspect trays to confirm they are properly cleaned before loading
- Monitor salt levels to ensure proper and consistent application on product
- Monitor product quality throughout the production process: color, texture and appearance
- Pull product that does not meet quality standards and flag for supervisor approval before any disposition
- Ensure all production steps are carried out properly to consistently deliver a top-quality finished product
- Communicate observations daily to production leadership
- 1+ years of quality control or food safety experience in a meat processing, food manufacturing, or similarly regulated environment
- Working knowledge of HACCP principles; HACCP certification preferred
- Familiarity with SQF, BRC, or equivalent food safety management systems
- Experience with GMP compliance and regulatory documentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to make sound decisions under time pressure
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment
- Reliable and punctual — this shift is Tuesday through Saturday 4am-12:30pm
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and recordkeeping
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a production environment
The Quality Assurance Technician will be the sharp, reliable eyes across our production operation. This position will ensure every step of the process is executed correctly so that every batch leaving the production floor meets our standard for top quality.
