Duties
- Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, and texturizing treatments with precision and creativity
- Use salon software such as Glossgenius to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently
- Conduct consultations to understand client preferences and recommend suitable styles or treatments based on color theory and current trends
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by sterilizing tools, cleaning workstations, and adhering to health regulations
- Provide expert advice on hair care routines, retail products, and upselling opportunities to maximize client satisfaction and salon revenue
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology license with experience in barbering or cosmetology services
- Recommended but not required- One or more years experience. Must be confident to be behind a chair. We can discuss assistant internship if needed.
- Proficiency in hair styling techniques including blowouts, braiding, curling, and updos.
- Knowledge of color theory for flawless coloring results and corrective color procedures
- Experience with retail sales strategies and retail math to increase product sales effectively
- Strong communication skills to connect with clients and understand their needs clearly
- Ability to perform hair services such as color and haircutting.
- Commitment to sanitation standards and safety protocols at all times
- Store management skills or experience are a plus for those interested in leadership roles
- Passion for continuous learning about new trends like hair extensions or advanced styling techniques
