GLO Resources is currently hiring an experienced Production Planner to work locally within La Porte, TX. The rate of pay is based on experience between $20.00 to $25.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday-Friday with potential overtime on weekends.
Position Summary: As a Production Planner, you will plan, schedule, coordinate and/or monitor the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Provide timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor in order to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce production schedule in line with production capacity to meet customer deliveries.
- Coordinate delivery of parts to expedite the flow of material to meet the production schedule.
- Coordinate with material purchasing group and/or expedite suppliers’ material purchase orders as required.
- Coordinate between warehouse and purchasing on material shortages
- Notify Outside Sales and Customer Service Representatives of any schedule impacts to customers.
- Coordinate with production teams to develop production schedules to ensure customer commitments are met.
- Review open sales orders to determine customer requirements
- Utilize MRP/ERP system to generate manufacturing work orders Release manufacturing work orders to the warehouse and production teams
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Industrial, fabrication, manufacturing, or warehouse experience is a plus.
- Previously worked with ERP or any other MRP software is a plus.
- Prior experience in scheduling, fast-paced work environments, production office support, or shipping and receiving operations is strongly preferred.
- Ability to interact well with internal and external customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient use of computer systems and software applications.
- Must be a team player in all aspects of position functions.
- Very organized and have a high level of attention to detail.
- Great at time management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Background Check is required.
- Ability to pass a drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves regular physical activity, including:
- Standing for prolonged periods.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching.
- Pushing and pulling heavy objects.
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
