Job Overview
A custom high-end millwork and installation company is seeking an experienced delivery driver proficient in operating box trucks and flatbed vehicles to transport millwork, cabinetry, and stair components.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck or similar vehicle for route driving and deliveries.
- Load and unload products efficiently, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Navigate assigned routes using GPS and maps to ensure timely deliveries.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients at delivery sites.
- Maintain records of delivery information, take pictures be organized on daily basis, and complete the route each day.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth loading processes and inventory management.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience operating box trucks and flatbed
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 100 lbs. and moving tasks as required during deliveries.
- Valid driver's license with a clean Driving record, have transportation to get to and from work, no CDL is needed.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while on the road.
- Must be able to read and speak English
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Experience loading, carrying and staging doors, millwork & cabinets is a plus
Pay is based on experience
