Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This position performs a wide range of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and refrigeration maintenance activities in accordance with manufacturer specifications, company standards, and safety regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:
- 1. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
- 2. Respond to emergency and unscheduled equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- 3. Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment.
- 4. Diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
- 5. Repair or replace defective components and perform testing and adjustments to ensure proper operation.
- 6. Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and work orders.
- 7. Perform basic machining, fabrication, and welding tasks as required.
- 8. Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and refrigeration systems.
- 9. Operate hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, welding equipment, and material-handling devices safely and effectively.
- 10. Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and performance.
- 11. Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete required documentation.
- 12. Follow all company safety policies, food safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
- 13. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- 14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this position, the employee will frequently work around moving mechanical equipment, industrial machinery, airborne particles, vibration, and varying temperatures common in dairy production facilities. Noise levels may range from moderate to high, requiring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the workday.
- Regularly use hands and arms to handle tools, equipment, and materials.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 75 pounds or more.
- Possess the ability to work in confined spaces and at elevated heights when necessary.
- Demonstrate close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type and Work Schedule
This is a full-time position.
Typical Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Additional hours, overtime, or on-call work may be required based on operational needs.
Travel Requirements
Travel is required for this position. Work locations may vary, with the majority of assignments occurring throughout the state TN,KY,GA.
