Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a nurturing environment for infants and toddlers, with a strong background in childhood development, classroom management, and curriculum development. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to infants and toddlers, incorporating literacy education, early intervention strategies, and Montessori principles.
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that promotes physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Manage classroom routines, including lesson planning, behavior management, and individualized care plans for children with special needs or requiring early intervention.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and staff, fostering teamwork and maintaining high standards of childcare.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or behavior.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and best practices in early childhood education.
- Incorporate classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior and social skills among children.
- Maintain detailed records of children's development, assessments, and educational activities for ongoing evaluation and reporting.
Experience
- Proven experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare or preschool setting.
- Strong background in childhood development theories, curriculum development, and classroom management.
- Experience with special education needs, early intervention programs, or Montessori teaching methods is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in lesson planning, teaching physical education, literacy education, math instruction, or standardized testing within early childhood settings is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with parents, staff, and community partners.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior constructively while fostering a positive learning environment.
- Knowledge of child welfare policies, daycare regulations, private school standards, and experience working with diverse student populations is advantageous.
