About the Opportunity:
Our client is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and patient-centered Physical Therapist to join its inpatient rehabilitation team. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team while providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery.
The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions designed to maximize mobility, restore function, and improve overall quality of life.
Position Summary:
The Physical Therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive physical therapy services within an inpatient hospital setting. This role works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.

Vice President of Rehabilitation Services
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs)
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Evaluation:
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations, including assessments of mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and functional abilities.
- Review physician referrals, medical histories, and diagnostic information to determine appropriate treatment strategies.
- Identify patient goals and establish measurable outcomes.
Treatment Planning:
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and evidence-based practice.
- Establish realistic short-term and long-term rehabilitation goals.
- Modify treatment plans as patients progress or medical conditions change.
Therapeutic Interventions:
- Provide direct patient care, including:
- Therapeutic exercise
- Manual therapy
- Gait and balance training
- Functional mobility training
- Therapeutic modalities
- Educate patients and family members on home exercise programs, safety techniques, and strategies to maximize independence.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, discharge planning, and case management meetings.
- Communicate treatment plans, progress, and discharge recommendations with patients and their families.
Compliance & Patient Safety:
- Follow all applicable hospital policies and regulatory standards, including HIPAA, OSHA, AHCA, and Joint Commission requirements.
- Maintain a safe treatment environment while adhering to established patient safety protocols.
- Remain current with continuing education requirements, licensure standards, and evidence-based clinical practices.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state Physical Therapist (or eligibility for licensure).
- Current CPR/BLS Certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist patients as necessary.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and active movement throughout the workday.
- Ability to move and position rehabilitation equipment.
- Work within a hospital environment with potential exposure to infectious diseases while following appropriate safety protocols.

Pay: $47.69 - $57.43 per hour
