JOB SUMMARY
As a Line Cook at Greenwood Communities and Resorts, you are a vital part of our culinary team, responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences, ensuring every plate meets our standards of quality service and hospitality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Prepare meats, seafood, vegetables and other items required for line and special function purposes.

Carefully follow standard recipes when pre-preparing and preparing all times.

Use food preparation equipment according to manufacturer’s instructions.

Have a good understanding of restaurant compliance under DHEC regulations for the state.

Clean work station.

Return unused food products to proper storage areas.

Assist with preparation of other food products on serving line as needed.

Consistently use safe and sanitary food handling practices.

Ensure that soiled equipment is cleaned for proper sanitation.

Maintain and ensure quality of product through expediting meal service.
Requirements:
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS

Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a line cook in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment.

Demonstrated ability to prepare and present food in a live, guest-facing cooking environment with confidence and professionalism.

Knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation, and health department regulations.
EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS

Culinary degree from accredited school, qualified apprenticeship, or comparable work experience.

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Must be able to speak and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
SENSORY/PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Able to stand and work for long periods of time in an outdoor environment

Capable of performing duties in extreme temperatures.
