Description:
We are currently seeking 1 very special Dog Daycare and Boarding Associate! This is a very unique place to work and extremely rewarding if you're passionate about small dogs.
Available Shifts:
- Saturday and Sunday morning and/or evening hours
- Some weekday evening hours
- Short (2-3 hour) Holiday shifts WILL BE REQUIRED!
Required Skills:
A positive attitude, tons of energy, and a very professional appearance will be important for this position. Must be EXTREMELY reliable. Must have the ability to lift 30+ pounds.
Additional Requirements:
The individual(s) selected for this position will be responsible for working in the doggie daycare and boarding areas for the Woofington, with responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Maintaining a sanitary environment at all times, both indoors and outdoors
- Keeping the lobby, and boarding areas, in tour-ready condition at all times
- Bringing dogs to the daycare and/or hotel
- Entertaining the dogs in daycare
- Bathing the dogs
- Feeding and medication responsibilities
- Letting non-social dogs out for relief time
- Following protocol regarding safe introductions for new dogs
- A LOT OF CLEANING to include ongoing mopping, sanitizing, sweeping, laundry duties, vacuuming, picking up dog waste, emptying trash, cleaning glass, turning over hotel suites, etc. in both the interior and exterior play spaces
- Exhibiting Woofington standards of excellence and professionalism
Work Environment:
The majority of the work will be conducted in the dog daycare and boarding areas. The position will require lifting (up to 30 pounds). The atmosphere will be noisy and hectic. Cell phones are not allowed out in daycare for any reason. The Woofington is a team and the expectation is that of helping each other, when needed. SHORT (2-3 hour) SHIFTS DURING HOLIDAYS AND PEAK PERIODS ARE REQUIRED!
Compensation:
This is a part time position and will be paid a starting hourly wage of $15/hour.
