Pet Central Station is a high-end retailer offering premium pet foods, professional grooming, and pet self-wash. We are looking for a part-time employee to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
Our retail consultant is responsible for providing a positive, rewarding experience for our furry customers and their parents!
Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a positive, outgoing, ‘ready-to-help’ attitude as they enter the store.
- Help customers find specific products, offering recommendations on products, and food based on customers’ needs.
- Accept and process orders, operate the POS register, and resolve returns issues.
- Promote special sales, offers, and awareness of store loyalty programs.
- Exemplary comprehension and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with pet parents on their concerns, wants, and needs.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, as well as the ability to collaborate with other team members when necessary.
- Strong motivation and desire for personal success, continually learning about our products.
- Passion and love for pets and a commitment to the well-being of companion animals.
- Know how to trim dog's nails or willing to learn.
You must love dogs! You will be interacting with them, getting to know them by name, playing and petting them, and giving treats. You will be explaining our different self-wash and prices to clients, helping clients select a shampoo for their dogs' needs, and keep the tubs and self-wash area clean and dry. Great customer service skills and an outgoing personality is also a must.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and operating a cash register is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- A passion for sales and the ability to promote products enthusiastically will contribute to your success in this role.
