Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Licensed Therapist/Supervisor (LMHC) to join our dedicated mental health team. Duties
- Provide direct individual, group, and family psychotherapy utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and patient care planning to develop tailored treatment strategies.
- Supervise and mentor licensed and unlicensed clinicians, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and best practices in mental health care.
- Lead crisis intervention efforts, including crisis management and emergency response coordination, ensuring client safety and stability.
- Manage case documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, maintaining accurate medical records and medical terminology for seamless patient records management.
- Facilitate specialized services such as working with children, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD care, and special education settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on research initiatives, data collection, clinical research projects, and quality improvement efforts to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or equivalent in the relevant state or jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in behavioral health settings with expertise in mental health counseling, patient assessment, and diagnostic evaluation.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical documentation standards.
- Demonstrated proficiency in motivational interviewing, social work principles, crisis intervention techniques, and working with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Experience working with children, pediatrics, or in hospital environments is highly desirable.
- Excellent case management skills with the ability to handle complex cases involving addiction counseling, trauma (including PTSD), and behavior management strategies.
