Job Title: Registered Pharmacist – Inpatient Hospital (Night Shift)Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Registered Pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team. Working under the direction of the Director, Assistant Director, or Manager of Pharmacy Services, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe, accurate, and effective medication therapy for hospitalized patients. This position collaborates closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes while maintaining compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.
- Evaluate patient medication profiles to ensure safe and effective pharmacotherapy.
- Prepare, dispense, and oversee the distribution of medications in accordance with hospital policies and state regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to resolve medication-related concerns.
- Provide drug information and clinical recommendations to support quality patient care.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy protocols, accreditation standards, and patient safety initiatives.
- Maintain accurate medication records and documentation.
- Demonstrate leadership, accountability, and a strong commitment to customer service and continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a minimum of a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Pharmacy.
- Current Registered Pharmacist license in the State of New York.
- Successful completion of hospital and departmental orientation programs.
- Recent hospital pharmacy experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations, medication safety, and clinical pharmacy practices.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Night Shift
- Weekdays: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend, including holidays
- Rotating schedule: 3 nights one week and 4 nights the following week
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $111,376.98 – $167,066.06 annually

Requirements
- Flu vaccination is required (no exemptions).
- Must maintain an active New York Pharmacist license in good standing.
