Life Medical Home Care Services is seeking a Medical Biller to join our Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and Complex Rehab team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in working with Medicare, Medi-Cal, managed care plans, authorizations, and claim follow-up.
Requirements
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Up to 2 years of medical billing experience
- Experience in a healthcare or DME setting preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, and managed care plans
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize workload
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Brightree experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Review and submit claims to insurance companies
- Investigate claim discrepancies and resolve billing issues
- Work directly with insurance companies regarding claim status
- Verify authorizations and insurance requirements
- Maintain accurate billing documentation and records
- Communicate with referral sources, physicians, and insurance representatives as needed
- Ensure compliance with payer guidelines and company policies Benefits
