Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Safety Director to lead and oversee all safety and security operations within our organization. This pivotal role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety protocols that ensure the well-being of employees, visitors, and assets. The Safety Director will serve as the primary authority on safety regulations, law enforcement collaboration, and emergency response procedures, fostering a culture of safety excellence across all levels of the organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by promoting a secure and compliant environment that aligns with industry standards and legal requirements.
Duties
Safety Coordination
– Large project or program lead.
– Provide input in preconstruction, site logistics, & scheduling.
– Participate in department leadership.
– Participate in departmental program updates.
– Job site visits & inspections when opportunities present.
- Set up & manage OSHA partnerships.
Professional Skills
– Continuing education CSP/SMS.
– Train others.
– Provide input on CD Moody process, procedure, & program.
– Maintain existing certifications through refresher courses.
- Learn the CD Moody preconstruction process.
Risk Management
– Manage company risk & interests on a daily basis.
– Set up, meet, & coordinate with designated clinics, if required.
– Coordinate on site clinic where required.
- Coordinate Teledoc options where required.
Meetings
– Participate in required meetings on site.
– Delegate meetings as appropriate to other safety professionals.
– Regular meetings with client to provide updates.
– Share expectations with trade partner leadership.
- Initiate and lead after-incident RCAs, CAPs, and trade partner performance conversations.
Technology
– Complete understanding of Hammertech & its applications.
– Complete understanding of Helix & its applications.
– Provide training in Hammertech & Helix.
- Complete ownership of project dashboards and data collection.
