The Credentialing Specialist processes all Medical Staff and Allied Health applications for appointment and reappointment. Also responsible for preparing reports and letters to track various forms of licensure and certification, on both a scheduled and an as needed basis. Files documents in physician credentialing files. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and values.
Principle Accountabilities:

Reviews verifications, as they are received, for appropriateness

Reapplications

Processes all medical staff and allied health reapplications/reappointments

Follows up with physician office personnel to obtain all necessary documentation

Licensure/Certification

Processes monthly reports and sends letters to obtain current documentation of

licensure/certification.

Letters & Reports
-
Prepares letters and reports, utilizing the Medical Staff software.

Assists in the processing of mailings/distributions

Meetings

Attends meetings, as requested

Performs other work duties as assigned
Employee is required to sit frequently and walk occasionally. Employee must lift/carry a light (1-20 lbs.) load occasionally. Employee is occasionally required to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, climb, lift waist to overhead. Employee is occasionally required to reach forward and reach overhead. For repetitive action, employee is required to perform simple grasping and pushing/pulling. Employee is continuously exposed to CRT terminal work.
