Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
- Handle cleaning chemical agents safely, following proper chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and polishers to maintain high standards of floor care and buffing.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment.
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all custodial activities to ensure a hazard-free environment for everyone.
- Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or reporting repair needs promptly.
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and chemical handling safety procedures.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation and cleanliness standards.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance activities such as basic repairs or painting is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.
