Responsibilities
- Lead or assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and fertilizing to ensure healthy and attractive landscapes
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as excavators and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
- Perform lawn care duties like aeration, overseeding, and weed control to promote lush turf growth
- Maintain hardscape features including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures with precision and care
- Conduct tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and planting to support healthy growth and safety standards
- Support snow plowing operations during winter months to keep properties accessible and safe
- Assist with gardening projects by planting new greenery, mulching beds, and maintaining flower displays
Qualifications
- Prior experience or knowledge in landscaping, lawn care, or horticulture is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is valued
- Mechanical knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and landscaping machinery such as excavators is advantageous
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions from supervisors or crew leaders
- Basic understanding of tree care practices including trimming and pruning techniques
- Valid driver’s license preferred for operating equipment or transporting materials
