Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. This position is essential for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized promptly, allowing our chefs to focus on food preparation and service.
Duties
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure that all equipment is in good working order.
- Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as 4 compartment sink, hand sink, and dishwasher machines.
- Mopping floors, especially in the event that items are broken or spilled.
- Taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans.
- Supporting other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed
- Reporting kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the kitchen.
- Help with the organization of kitchen supplies and storage areas to ensure a tidy workspace.
- Support catering events by ensuring that all necessary items are cleaned and ready for use.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality or culinary environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen as needed.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as required.
Position Details: Tuesday, Wednesday , Thursday 4pm - close (9pm with additional 30min -1.5 hour).
