American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Acute position requiring Epic EMR experience and an active CA RN license for a night shift contract.

Acute care hospital Med/Surg unit (Med/Surg Acute 9)
-
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
-
36 or 48 hours per week available
-
Epic EMR used; experience is required
-
Active CA RN license, unrestricted and currently in hand

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association)

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience, with clinical work performed within the last 3 months

Epic EMR experience required

No prior adverse actions or hits on RN license

Two supervisor references required: one from within the past year and one from within the past two years
-
Skills checklist for Med/Surg completed within the past year required for consideration

Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients per assigned shift

Develops and prescribes nursing care plans consistent with the medical plan of care, incorporating patient and family input
-
Collaborates with physicians and the broader healthcare team to coordinate patient care across all age groups
-
Incorporates patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall care plan
-
Delegates appropriate aspects of care to other nursing staff based on competency and legal scope of practice
-
RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer; requests exceeding this will result in automatic decline

BSN is preferred but not required
