Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Staff member to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, safety, and upkeep of our facilities through hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for all occupants and visitors. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure continuous operation.
- Conduct repairs using welding techniques and mechanical knowledge to address issues promptly.
- Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose problems accurately.
- Operate tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices to troubleshoot electrical systems effectively.
- Manage facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC, electrical work, and residential painting as needed.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future tasks.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles within manufacturing or residential environments.
- Strong electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Skilled in welding techniques with a good understanding of mechanical systems and schematics.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English across diverse teams.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting.
