We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's growth and success. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a strong background in lean manufacturing, production management, and process improvement. You will be responsible for overseeing our production operations, ensuring that our manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
As a Production Supervisor, you will:
1. Oversee the production process, ensuring that production is cost-effective and timely.
2. Implement and maintain 5S, lean, and kaizen methodologies to optimize productivity and efficiency.
3. Monitor product standards and implement quality control programs.
4. Liaise with different departments, e.g., suppliers, managers, to ensure smooth operations.
5. Supervise and motivate a team of workers, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and innovation.
6. Review worker performance and identify training needs.
7. Plan and organize production schedules, ensuring that goods are produced efficiently and are of the right quality, quantity, and cost.
8. Assess project and resource requirements, estimating, negotiating, and agreeing on budgets and timescales with managers.
9. Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed at all times.
10. Implement any new policies and procedures relating to the production process.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a production supervisory role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience with 5S, lean, kaizen, production management, quality control, lean manufacturing, and process improvement.
3. Demonstrated ability to lead a high-performing team.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Excellent project management skills.
6. Proficient in MS Office and industry-specific software.
7. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
8. Certifications in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Lean Six Sigma, or similar would be an advantage.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, balancing multiple tasks.
