Co-op Supply is looking for a leader to join our team! We are looking to fill a full-time position in our Everett Store. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is high energy and can handle a fast-paced environment. The successful person in this position will be self-motivated, proactive, energetic, and willing to support all members of our team at Co-op Supply.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
This lead position will coordinate operations and promote the mission of Co-op Supply in a manner that will maintain operating efficiency and profitability, directing staff for optimum performance, safety and excellent customer service.
- Assist Store Manager in implementing store policies, goals, objectives and procedures.
- Support management team by participating in recruiting, selecting, orientation and training of all employees.
- Motivate and develop staff through product training, coaching and evaluation of daily activities.
- Maintain Company Safety standards.
- Maintain open constructive communication with store managers and staff.
- Support company policy and initiatives by example and through positive communication.
- Assist in conducting monthly staff meetings to company messaging, store initiatives and goals, sales tips and product training.
- Ensure a high level of customer service is always provided by all employees, following Co-op Supply Customer Service Program.
- Promptly and appropriately respond to customer inquiries and complaints.
- Ensure facilities and equipment meet all required regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent Customer Service skills and communication
- Knowledge of business and management principles including strategic planning, leadership and coordination of people and resources
- Ability to prioritize, organize, accomplish goals by developing procedures. Model effective communication with staff.
- Exhibit use of objective analysis, and problem-solving skils
- Ability to communicate information and ideas verbally and in writing
- Utilize time management skills to maximize productivity
- Enthusiasm and ability to motivate staff through positive behavior and communication
- Proficient with windows based software, including word, excel, teams and outlook
- WA State Pesticides license required
- Retail cashier experience a plus
- Ability to multi-task and attention to details
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule Monday thru Sunday
- Ability to work independently and a team player
- Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work standing, sitting, bending over, kneeling for long periods of time
- Ability to push and pull up to 50lbs frequently: Loading/unloading carts with plants, garden hoses when watering and other tasks as needed
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
Reports to Store Manager
