Looking for contract part time OT for both Early Intervention ( in community) and in Clinic services
Can accommodate those not yet licensed in DC for 3 months under OT supervisory option
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing therapy and assessments for infants and toddlers as a multi-disciplinary team member, and participating in all required meetings. The therapist must be able to work independently, as well as, in teams while maintaining a positive level of interaction with IFSP team and clients.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Complete all training requirements and participate in meetings.
- Provide therapy/interventions/assessments with families/clients (via telehealth and in-person)
- Collaborate as a multi-disciplinary team member for program planning and delivery of services for the birth to 4 population.
- Complete any and all documentation forms required by company.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere and professional relationships with co-workers, colleagues, clients and clients’ families.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Comply with all state and federal laws
- Adhere to scheduled hours and project a professional image at all times.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Clinical Supervisor.
- Adhere to any and all company written and oral policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of evidence-based and best practices in their field.
- Provide services within the scope of practice as defined by the state laws governing the practice of Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or Physical Therapy
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Holds current DC Department of Health license.
- Is certified by National Board
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Physical and/or other medical examinations/clearance.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in early intervention or pediatric rehabilitative services preferred.
- Experience with multi-disciplinary assessments and evaluations.
Experience or strong interest in providing services in homes.
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply! (ASL,Spanish; French)
- CPR certification (can be provided by company)
Additional Notes
Background check and drug screenings will be performed pre-employment and routinely.
