Position Overview:
This is a Contractor position and you will be the Project Director of assisting The Learning Source in developing a certified Employment Support Specialist program and team. Once the program is launched, there is an opportunity to be hired full-time as the Program Director.
The Director of Employment Services is responsible for developing, implementing, and growing the organization's Supported Employment Program. This leadership position combines program development, direct service delivery, employer engagement, and future staff supervision to ensure individuals with disabilities and other employment barriers achieve meaningful, competitive, integrated employment. As the program's founding leader, the Director will establish service delivery models, policies, procedures, partnerships, and performance metrics while maintaining a direct caseload of participants. As the program expands, the Director will recruit, train, supervise, and support program staff. The ideal candidate is both a strategic builder and a hands-on practitioner who is passionate about employment as a pathway to independence, inclusion, and community participation.

Role and Responsibilities
- Design, launch, and continuously improve the Supported Employment Program.
- Develop program policies, procedures, workflows, and service standards.
- Ensure program compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and funding requirements.
- Establish outcome measures and quality assurance processes
- Utilize data to improve program effectiveness and participant outcomes.
- Develop program budgets and resource needs in partnership with TLS leadership.
- Build relationships with community partners, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), case management agencies, and other referral sources.
- Develop relationships with local employers and businesses.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and supervise Employment Specialists (Job Coaches, and Job Development Specialists).
- Provide coaching, mentorship, training, and performance management.
- Ensure staff maintain service quality, compliance, and documentation standards.
- Foster a positive, mission-driven, and participant-centered team culture.
- Manage staffing plans and caseload distribution.
- Maintain an active caseload of individuals receiving supported employment services.
- Conduct person-centered employment planning and assist participants in identifying employment goals, strengths, interests, and support needs.
- Identify competitive integrated employment opportunities that align with participant goals.
- Facilitate successful job matches and support long-term employment retention.
- Provide individualized career exploration, job development, job placement, and job coaching services.
- Coordinate services with families, support teams, employers, educators, and community partners.
- Maintain timely and accurate case documentation and reporting.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, Business, Workforce Development, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in supported employment, vocational rehabilitation, or a related field.
- Experience launching or expanding employment programs preferred.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Commitment to Employment First principles.
- ACRE certification, Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) credential, or willingness to obtain.
- Experience providing direct employment services to individuals with disabilities or significant employment barriers.
- Demonstrated experience developing employer relationships and securing employment opportunities.
- Knowledge of state vocational rehabilitation systems and supported employment funding streams.
- Strong organizational, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to organizational needs.
- Ability to work independently and build systems in a start-up environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and basic administrative systems.
Schedule & Compensation:
- This is a FT contractor position. Permanent employment may be offered at a later date. Local travel for service provision is required.
