Lightbridge Academy of Glen Allen is seeking two caring, dependable, and passionate Infant Teachers to join our growing team!
We are hiring for one position in our Young Infant classroom and one position in our Mobile Infant classroom. We're looking for educators who love nurturing babies during their earliest stages of development while creating a warm, safe, and engaging environment where every child can thrive.
What You'll Do
- Provide attentive, responsive care for infants in either our Young Infant or Mobile Infant classroom.
- Create a warm, nurturing environment that promotes healthy attachment, trust, and emotional security.
- Support each child's physical, cognitive, language, social-emotional, and sensory development through age-appropriate interactions and play.
- Implement engaging, developmentally appropriate experiences using the Seedlings Curriculum.
- Follow individualized feeding, diapering, sleeping, and care routines while maintaining accurate daily records.
- Encourage developmental milestones such as tummy time, rolling, sitting, crawling, cruising, and early communication.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom that meets all health, safety, and licensing requirements.
- Observe children's development and contribute to portfolios and developmental assessments.
- Build meaningful partnerships with families through daily communication and updates.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to provide exceptional care and ensure a positive classroom environment.
- Ensure compliance with all Virginia licensing regulations and Lightbridge Academy policies and standards.
Qualifications
- CDA, Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- At least one year of experience in an early childhood classroom.
- Experience working with infants is strongly preferred.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Patient, nurturing, dependable, and passionate about helping young children reach developmental milestones.
- Professional, positive, and committed to providing exceptional care and education.
