Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with the kitchen and bar staff
- Serve food, beverages, cocktails, and spirits efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Provide knowledgeable wine, cocktail, and beverage recommendations based on guest preferences and menu offerings
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions
- Experience with wine knowledge, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service is desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
