PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN

POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Technician supports BRP Pharma’s pharmaceutical repackaging operations by performing accurate, efficient, and compliant repackaging, labeling, inspection, and related production activities.
This is a hands-on production position focused on the careful handling and repackaging of pharmaceutical products in accordance with established procedures, quality requirements, customer specifications, and applicable regulatory and contractual requirements.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable performing repetitive production tasks, and able to consistently follow written procedures. Previous pharmaceutical, healthcare, regulated manufacturing, or federal government contract experience is a plus but is not required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform pharmaceutical repackaging activities according to approved work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and production requirements.
- Accurately package, label, count, inspect, and prepare pharmaceutical products as assigned.
- Verify product information, quantities, lot numbers, expiration dates, labels, and other required information during the production process.
- Follow established procedures to maintain product identity, accuracy, quality, and traceability.
- Complete production documentation accurately, legibly, and in real time as required.
- Perform required line clearance and workstation setup and maintain an organized work area throughout the production process.
- Inspect products, labels, packaging materials, and completed work for accuracy and quality.
- Immediately report discrepancies, damaged products, labeling concerns, quality issues, or deviations from established procedures.
- Follow applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality procedures, safety requirements, and company policies.
- Support production activities associated with commercial and government/federal contract requirements.
- Follow specific customer, contractual, documentation, labeling, packaging, and traceability requirements when assigned to government-related production.
- Maintain appropriate cleanliness and organization of production areas and equipment.
- Follow hygiene, gowning, personal protective equipment (PPE), and contamination-control requirements applicable to the work area.
- Meet established production expectations while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
- Participate in required training and demonstrate competency in assigned production processes.
- Work cooperatively with Production, Quality, Operations, and other departments to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with company security and product-handling requirements.

QUALITY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Every Production Technician is responsible for supporting BRP Pharma’s commitment to quality and regulatory compliance. Employees are expected to:
- Follow approved SOPs, work instructions, and quality procedures without unauthorized deviation.
- Maintain accurate and complete production records.
- Never falsify, backdate, alter, or improperly complete production or quality documentation.
- Stop work and notify appropriate personnel when a potential quality, safety, product, or compliance issue is identified.
- Protect the integrity, identity, and traceability of pharmaceutical products throughout the production process.
- Complete all required compliance and job-specific training within established deadlines.
- Follow applicable requirements associated with federal government contracts when working on federally contracted products or projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions, SOPs, labels, and production documentation.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to accurately count and verify quantities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining consistent quality.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently after appropriate training and as part of a production team.
- Ability to understand and comply with safety, quality, security, and regulatory requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate of Arts (AA) degree or equivalent college coursework preferred.
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical production, pharmaceutical repackaging, packaging, healthcare, medical products, or another regulated environment preferred.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or regulated production environments is a plus.
- Previous experience supporting federal government contracts or understanding federal contract compliance requirements is a plus.
- Experience working with SOPs, controlled documents, batch/production records, quality systems, or similar documentation is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical requirements of the position may include:
- Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods while performing production activities.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements associated with pharmaceutical repackaging and labeling.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to handle pharmaceutical products, packaging components, labels, and production materials accurately.
- Ability to visually inspect products, labels, lot information, expiration dates, and packaging for accuracy.
- Ability to lift and carry materials associated with normal production activities, consistent with applicable company safety requirements.
- Ability to wear required PPE and comply with applicable gowning and hygiene requirements.
This position does not require forklift operation or routine pallet handling.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily performed in a controlled pharmaceutical production/repackaging environment. Employees are expected to comply with applicable cleanliness, hygiene, safety, quality, security, and product-handling requirements.
Production Technicians may work with multiple pharmaceutical products, packaging configurations, customer requirements, and production assignments throughout the workday.
GOVERNMENT CONTRACT COMPLIANCE
BRP Pharma performs work that may be subject to federal government contract requirements. Employees assigned to government-related work are expected to follow all applicable company procedures and contract-specific requirements, including requirements related to product handling, documentation, quality, traceability, labeling, security, and ethical conduct.
Prior federal government contract experience is not required; however, familiarity with government contracting, regulated environments, or federal compliance requirements is considered a plus.
