Duties
- Assist veterinary technicians with animal handling, restraint, and care during examinations and procedures
- Support hospital operations by cleaning and maintaining the facility and stocking inventory
- Prepare animals for surgery or diagnostic procedures by assisting with positioning and restraint using proper techniques
- Help with laboratory tasks such as sample collection, processing, and basic testing under supervision
- Ensure the clinic environment remains sterile and organized by following aseptic techniques and PPE protocols
- Support front desk duties including client communication, when needed
Skills
- Previous kennel experience or animal handling background preferred
- Veterinary assistant experience highly desirable
- Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively during examinations or procedures
- Experience in hospital like setting
- Strong communication skills for interacting with coworkers and clients
- Capable of maintaining cleanliness through cleaning routines and proper use of PPE to ensure safety for animals and staff
