The
Machine Operator responsibilities include operating, setting up, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for preparing machines for production, following job orders, loading materials, monitoring machine performance, performing production inspections and operational tests, troubleshooting equipment issues, training junior machine operators, and maintaining compliance with GMP, food safety, quality, and OSHA standards while working in a refrigerated manufacturing environment.

Pay Range: $17.25 - $17.25 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, monitor, and maintain repack machinery to ensure efficient production.
- Read and follow work orders to determine production requirements and materials needed.
- Load materials into machines and monitor production for quality and efficiency.
- Perform production inspections, machine operation tests, and routine troubleshooting.
- Train and mentor new or junior machine operators.
- Follow GMP, food safety, food quality, OSHA, and company safety procedures.
- Maintain equipment and a clean, safe work area while reporting equipment or safety concerns.
- Perform additional production duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of machine operating experience.
- Knowledge of repack machinery and manufacturing equipment.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations, GMP, and food safety practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in refrigerated environments (32°F–42°F) and outdoor weather conditions as needed.
- Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 40 lbs. unassisted and perform repetitive physical activities, including standing, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs or ladders.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while effectively multitasking and prioritizing work.
