Park Security Officers are responsible for the safety and security of guests, Hosts, and park assets.
- Conduct foot patrols of the entire park and perimeter during all types of weather and perform all public safety-related tasks during these patrols.
- Function in uncommon and stressful situations.
- Enforce all park policies and procedures, including dress code and safety policies.
- Follow grooming and personal hygiene requirements. A neat, clean, professional appearance is required at all times.
- Respond to minor and major incidents with a calm and professional demeanor.
- Interact with park guests and Hosts in an appropriate guest relations manner.
- Provide guests and Hosts with a safe, clean, fun, and entertaining atmosphere.
- Write clear, concise, and legible reports daily. Document incidents and guest interactions on Field Incident Report cards as required.
- Safely operate traffic control equipment and direct traffic during emergency and non-emergency situations.
- Operate Security Screening equipment and perform searches to keep prohibited items out of the park.
- Communicate via two-way radio system in a professional manner.
- Attention to detail.
- Good oral and written English skills and ability to communicate with guests and Hosts effectively.
- Positive and guest friendly attitude.
- Team oriented.
- Must be within the age range of 16-17 years old.
- Must be able to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time in all weather conditions.
- Physical ability to bend over and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to hear adequately out of both ears, with or without accommodation.
- Must be able to work outdoors in direct sunlight for up to eight (8) hours a day.
