Preschool Director -Level 3
Position to manage and mentor, interview and hire staff to support and grow a 5 Star, NAEYC Accredited program. Located in Chapel Hill.
We are an accredited program of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and hold a five-star license with the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education. We provide a high-quality early childhood education program, including NC PreK with extended day options.
This is a position with bonus opportunities, Director’s wages based on the candidate’s education/experience.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain compliance with accreditations and licensing regulations, including health and safety practices
- Implement school policies, licensing requirements
- Manage fiscal operations including staff scheduling, payroll, tuition/invoicing, ordering supplies/purchasing
- Implement developmentally-appropriate curriculum and PreK program, keeping current with/implementing licensing updates
- Recruit, hire, train/mentor, supervise/review and support staff growth
- Recruit and retain families via tours, creating positive, professional, supportive relationships with parents and children
- Organize school social events that celebrate families, heritages and Holidays, partnering with family volunteers
- Promote proactive and positive communications with family community via personalized monthly e-newsletter and weekly updates via email/parent App
- Establish an enthusiastic and positive spirit supporting students, parents and staff each day
Qualifications:
- B.A./B.S. in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or other related degrees
- 3-5 years of experience working in the field of early childhood education teaching & Management
- Qualify as a Level III Early Childhood Administrator
