We are currently hiring for a part-time Cleaning Technician in the New Freedom, PA area to help maintain a local Catholic church and potentially provide support at the connected school facility.
This position is a great fit for someone looking for consistent part-time work who is also able to maintain some flexibility. Church and school events may occasionally require adjusting the normal cleaning day or schedule, so we are looking for someone who is dependable, adaptable, and willing to work around facility needs when necessary.
Commercial cleaning experience is preferred, but not required. Candidates who already have current child-related clearances and background checks are especially encouraged to apply.

- Current applicable child-related clearances/background checks are a plus and may help expedite placement
- Commercial, janitorial, church, school, or similar cleaning experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and consistent cleaning habits
- Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
What You’ll Be Doing
Job Duties Include:
- Performing basic janitorial tasks such as dusting, glass cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal, and cleaning restrooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Following an established cleaning routine and facility-specific instructions
- Communicating with management regarding facility needs, supplies, concerns, or schedule changes
- Maintaining professionalism, and consistent quality and attention to detail
- Providing occasional cleaning support at the connected school facility as needed
Job Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20–25 lbs., including trash, supplies, and equipment
- Ability to bend, reach, stand, walk, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to climb and clean stairways as required
- Ability to work efficiently and independently without direct supervision
- Ability to consistently report for scheduled shifts and communicate promptly when needed
- Smartphone with an active data connection capable of running required company apps
- Ability using mobile apps for timekeeping, GPS verification, and company communication
- Ability to meet all background screening, clearance, and certification requirements associated with working in a facility that serves children

Unlike many evening commercial cleaning positions where facilities are mostly empty, this is an active church and school environment. Offices, services, programs, events, and other activities may be taking place while you work. You’ll need to be comfortable cleaning around others and using good judgment — sometimes that means moving to another area and returning later when a space becomes available.
The schedule itself may also occasionally need to adjust around church or school events. Being flexible and able to adapt while still making sure the work gets completed is an important part of this role.
