Job Details
- Enjoy a small caseload ( maximum 8 students), with multiple sessions a week to ensure that you can see your students make progress
- SLP works directly with classroom teachers and other support services to develop and implement language goals in a collaborative, push-in model
- Engage with the team of SLPs in the Middle/Upper School to collaborate and provide support
- Weekly SLP meetings as a team to discuss goal writing, materials and continuing education
- Work on goals individually, as well as within functional daily routines and activities, to improve communication ability and language use throughout the course of the school day.
- Therapy addresses receptive and expressive language; AAC including iPads, communication boards/visual supports, and sign; speech production/articulation; feeding/drinking; pragmatic language and social skills; and play.
- Treatment follows an evidence-based model, for which goals are tracked with weekly data and updated as necessary
- Responsible for annual testing, bi-annual report writing and IEP development
- Daily use of an online data collection program (Central Reach) to track goals
- Paid prep time throughout the week.
- SLPs are trained on, and implement, behavioral techniques into their 1:1 teaching.
- Classroom team meetings across disciplines to discuss new materials, strategies, classroom updates, etc..
- Excellent overall training and supervision
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
- ASHA certified
- NY State licensed
- TSSLD
- PROMPT training a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of AAC programs such as Proloquo2Go, LAMP, etc. a plus, but not required

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:15-3:45
Pay: beginning at $75,000 for certified SLPs, CFYs with Autism experience will be considered salary starting at 71,000/ year
