Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately using dental imaging equipment while ensuring patient safety.
- Conduct initial patient assessments by recording vital signs, medical history, and current medications in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records within Electronic Health Records (EHR) Open Dental and Dentrix.
- Adhere strictly to infection prevention management protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental equipment.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.
- Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate documentation.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
- Strong understanding of dental equipment operation, X-ray safety procedures, and infection control practices.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with the dental team.
