Computer Systems Analyst (Cloud, Security & Infrastructure Focus)
Epitec is seeking a Computer Systems Analyst to evaluate, design, and optimize a Microsoft-centric IT environment. This role is responsible for analyzing system performance, security, and scalability across cloud, identity, endpoint, and infrastructure platforms, with a focus on Microsoft 365 and Azure.
The position plays a critical role in enabling secure collaboration, advancing cybersecurity and compliance initiatives, and improving overall system effectiveness and resilience.

Analyze existing IT systems, infrastructure, and workflows to identify opportunities for optimization, scalability, and security enhancement

Evaluate system performance, capacity, and reliability, and recommend improvements aligned with business objectives

Participate in system architecture reviews, capacity planning, and technical assessments

Develop and maintain system documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational standards

Analyze and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and identity frameworks
-
Evaluate and optimize identity governance within Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including:
-
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
-
Conditional Access policies and authentication methods
-
Assess and improve user lifecycle management processes, including provisioning, access governance, and identity security controls
-
Analyze system security posture across cloud, endpoint, and identity environments
-
Evaluate and implement security controls, including data protection, access management, and threat detection systems
-
Monitor and assess security alerts and identify improvements to system controls and configurations
-
Support development and continuous improvement of security policies, standards, and compliance initiatives (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, CCPA/CPRA readiness)

Evaluate endpoint configuration, compliance posture, and device management strategies using Microsoft Intune
-
Design and implement improvements to endpoint security baselines and patch management frameworks
-
Assess modern device management solutions and onboarding processes (e.g., Autopilot, passwordless access)
-
Analyze enterprise infrastructure components, including network, cloud, and integrated SaaS platforms
-
Design and maintain integrations between enterprise applications and cloud-based systems
-
Evaluate and improve system interoperability, performance, and operational efficiency
-
Enable secure collaboration frameworks, including external access and shared environments
-
Analyze and design backup strategies, disaster recovery frameworks, and business continuity processes

Implement, test, and optimize recovery procedures and system resilience plans
-
Evaluate data protection mechanisms, retention strategies, and recovery objectives
-
Analyze system performance issues and resolve underlying infrastructure or configuration challenges
-
Identify opportunities for automation, cost optimization, and operational efficiency improvements
-
Support system-related issue resolution while maintaining focus on root-cause analysis and long-term optimization
-
3+ years of experience in systems analysis, infrastructure, or a related IT role

Hands-on experience with:

Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments
-
Identity and access management (Entra ID / Azure AD)

Endpoint and device management (Intune or similar)
-
Security tools such as Microsoft Defender or equivalent
-
Strong understanding of networking, access control, and cloud security principles
-
Ability to analyze technical systems, identify risks, and recommend effective solutions
-
Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities

Experience with Cisco Meraki or similar network infrastructure
-
Familiarity with IT service management platforms (e.g., Jira Service Management)

Experience with password management and identity security tools
-
Exposure to compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.)

Experience supporting enterprise SaaS platforms or ATS systems
