Property management company with over 20 complexes in Gainesville FL has an immediate opening for several temp-to-hire Maintenance Technicians ranging from entry level technicians up to a Maintenance Leads. The company is looking for candidates who will perform well on the job and lead to an offer of permanent employment.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical condition and appearance of the community and its units.
The main duties include but are not limited to diagnosing problems and making repairs, ensuring all upkeep, inventory, preventative maintenance, and repairs of the grounds, common areas, amenities, apartments, and buildings of the community are completed in an efficient and cost effective manner. Candidates should exhibit an intermediate understanding of electrical, carpentry, and plumbing to work effectively in this environment.
The Maintenance Technician is expected to be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use of hand tools and small power tools. All maintenance activities will follow OSHA and company safety policies at all times.
Requirements:
- 1+ years Maintenance Technician experience
- Team - Player - works well with coworkers to accomplish tasks
- Maintains professional appearance
- Capable customer service skills to work with tenants on calls
- Submit to background and drug screening
- Must be available for rotating on call duties
- Must have reliable transportation to use on the job
- EPA/CPO preferred but not required
Candidates must be capable of lifting, crouching, walking, standing with up to 50 pounds. All candidates will submit to drug and background screening. Must possess reliable transportation.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
