Project developer is seeking a Civil Superintendent for an extended contract role (expected through Feb 2028) for a power plant build in southern Indiana. Hourly rate + per diem + approved expenses. Pay rate is open, depends on market rate.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of civil construction activities in power plant projects (earthworks, grading, piling, concrete, drainage, roads, structural steel interfaces)
- Ability to interpret IFC drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, civil calculations, and survey data
- Working knowledge of applicable standards (ACI, ASTM, AASHTO, OSHA, environmental regulations)
- Experience reviewing contractor submittals, method statements, and ITPs
- Strong QA/QC understanding for civil works
- Experience in managing interfaces between civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines
- Strong field inspection and documentation skills
- Ability to identify constructability issues and sequencing conflicts
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with owners, contractors, and regulatory representatives.
- Ability to work in active construction environments
- Active participation in daily coordination forums such as Plan of Day (POD), End of Day (EOD), and all-hands meetings.
- Capable of working in and around energized or potentially energized electrical environments in accordance with safety standards and procedures
· Minimum 5–8 years of experience in civil construction, with at least 3 years in large industrial or power projects
· Experience in an Owner’s Representative, Owner’s Engineer, or EPC role
· Familiarity with geotechnical, structural, and site development practices
· OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
· Ability to work extended hours and rotational site schedules
Pay: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour
