FILM KIDS TEACHING ARTIST NEEDED
Film Kids is a growing non-profit video production program for elementary school students in various schools across Austin. We are looking for a part-time instructor / video editor to teach after school filmmaking clubs of up to 12 children, for 3 hours each afternoon in the Fall and Spring. Contracts are drafted per school year with opportunities to continue filmmaking over the summer and following school years. Applicants must commit to employment for the rest of the current school year (ending mid-June).
Applicants must have experience working with young people and the ability to communicate independently with school administration and faculty. Applicants must also have experience with video editing using Adobe Premiere (or any other professional editing program) and knowledge of camera operation, storyboarding layouts and production techniques. The applicant must have strong independent time management skills and meet editing deadlines. The applicant must provide his or her own transportation and computer for editing.
