HVAC Service Field Supervisor

Hopkins Air Conditioning is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Field Supervisor to help lead and develop our growing service team. This is a hands-on leadership role for an accomplished HVAC professional who is passionate about mentoring technicians, improving performance, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
As the HVAC Service Field Supervisor, you'll spend time both in the field and alongside our technicians, providing coaching, technical support, and real-time training. You'll work closely with the Service Manager and General Manager to strengthen our service department through technician development, performance management, and recruiting top talent.

What You'll Do
- Train and mentor HVAC Service Technicians through classroom instruction, ride-alongs, and hands-on field coaching.
- Serve as the first point of contact for technicians needing technical troubleshooting or escalation support.
- Lead and assist with complex service calls when advanced technical expertise is required.
- Monitor technician performance and identify opportunities for coaching and skill development.
- Stay current on HVAC technologies, manufacturer training, and industry best practices while ensuring technicians receive ongoing education.
- Partner with the Service Manager to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including revenue per ticket, turnover opportunities, callback rates, and overall technician performance.
- Identify training gaps and develop action plans to improve technician knowledge and consistency.
- Assist the Service Manager with coaching, accountability, and addressing performance concerns when necessary.
- Perform service calls independently when not actively training or supervising technicians.
- Collaborate with the Service Manager and General Manager to recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain top-performing HVAC service professionals.
- Promote a culture centered on safety, teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional customer experiences.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of residential HVAC service experience.
- Previous experience leading, mentoring, or supervising HVAC technicians preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across residential HVAC systems.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to motivate, develop, and hold technicians accountable while maintaining a positive team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Comfortable using field service software and mobile technology.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
