Material Handler - Supply Chain Team
The Material Handler is responsible for supporting internal logistics operations by performing material handling, kitting, and production line feeding activities. This role ensures that materials and kits are accurately prepared, staged, and delivered to production lines on time, contributing to smooth production flow and uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities

Pick, prepare, and assemble material kits according to bills of materials (BOMs), work orders, and production schedules.

Deliver materials and kits to production lines and line-side locations in the correct quantity and at the required time.

Perform internal material movements between receiving, storage, kitting, and production areas.

Ensure accurate material identification, labeling, and quantity verification prior to kitting and line feeding.

Execute material transactions (issues, transfers, consumption) accurately in ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reporting of discrepancies.

Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or carts in a safe and responsible manner.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for material handling, kitting, and internal logistics processes.

Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.

Identify and report shortages, damaged materials, or line-side issues to supervisors.

Support continuous improvement initiatives related to kitting efficiency, material flow, and production line supply.

Comply with all safety, quality, and internal logistics policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or production logistics preferred.

Basic knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory control, and internal logistics.

Experience using ERP or WMS systems (e.g., SAP) is an advantage.

Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift certification preferred).

Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, standing, walking, and repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Familiarity with kitting processes, production line feeding, or line-side logistics.

Knowledge of Kanban or just-in-time (JIT) material supply systems.

Experience working in multi-shift or high-volume operations.
