PAY RANGE: $60,000 - $120,000 -- dependent on work ethic and RO Sales
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Automotive Service Advisor/Writer to join our fast-paced dealership team. In this role, you will serve as the vital link between customers and our service technicians, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every client. Your energetic approach will help you accurately assess vehicle needs, communicate effectively with customers, and promote additional services to enhance vehicle performance and safety. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and professionally, establishing trust and rapport from the first interaction
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues for service technicians
- Provide detailed auto estimates for repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics using dealership management software
- Upsell appropriate services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, transmission repairs, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs
- Coordinate with service technicians to prioritize repairs and communicate estimated completion times to customers
- Handle transactions accurately while maintaining proper documentation of all service sales
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote future business opportunities
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of auto service management and automotive diagnostics
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including oil changes, tire services, brake repair, suspension work, transmissions, and diesel engine repair
- Skilled in automotive repair processes such as alignments, shocks & struts replacement, air brake systems, and auto body repair
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and confidently
- Experience in auto estimating software and automotive service writing practices
- Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust
- Familiarity with mechanic experience and service technician workflows is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cash handling and record keeping
