We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pediatric dentistry, with a passion for working with children and ensuring their oral health needs are met through comprehensive, gentle care. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive dental care tailored specifically to pediatric patients, including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
- Perform dental procedures such as dental cleanings, restorations, extractions, and pulp therapy with precision and care.
- Utilize advanced dental technology and imaging tools to accurately assess patient conditions and develop effective treatment strategies.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate young patients and their guardians on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options using clear, age-appropriate communication.
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with the dental team to coordinate patient care, including orthodontics, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery when necessary.
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry by participating in continuing education and training programs.
Experience
- Proven experience in pediatric dentistry within a clinical or dental office setting is required.
- Proficiency with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis related to pediatric patients.
- Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental implants, orthodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures preferred.
- Familiarity with infection control standards, medical imaging technology, anatomy knowledge relevant to pediatrics, and medical documentation practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children and their families while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
