Job Summary
Join our culinary team as a Pastry Assistant, where your passion for baking and food artistry will be on full display. In this role, you will primarily support the creation of artisan pastries, and baked goods while ensuring top-notch food safety and quality standards. Duties
- Organizing daily pastry pars for production
- Assist the team with producing other artisan pastries such as biscuits, danishes, scones, muffins, cookies, ect.
- Support food production and preparation tasks, including measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and assembling ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety protocols at all times
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed to prevent contamination
- Contribute to menu design and daily offerings with creative pastry ideas
Skills
- Experience in pastry making, baking, or related culinary roles within the food industry is preferred.
- Ability to be technically consistent with daily pastry fabrication
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Being precise with measuring ingredients and following recipes
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen environment
- Customer service skills to engage positively with colleagues and clients when needed
- Familiarity with packaging techniques to ensure product quality during distribution or sale
