Overview
Beyond Health is looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our Longevity Medicine and Hormone Optimization team in Albuquerque, NM. You'll be a key part of the patient experience, from intake to follow-up, supporting our Lead RN and Advanced Practice Provider team in delivering personalized, root-cause-focused care. Duties
- Room patients, obtain vitals, and complete intake documentation and health history updates in the EHR.
- Prepare and administer injections (e.g., testosterone) under standing orders and Advanced Practice Provider supervision, consistent with New Mexico's MA scope of practice.
- Perform phlebotomy for hormone panels, metabolic panels, and other labs; label and prepare specimens for processing.
- Prepare exam and procedure rooms, maintain sterile technique, and keep equipment calibrated and stocked.
- Support hormone pellet insertion procedures and other in-clinic treatments as directed by the supervising Advanced Practice Provider.
- Answer patient voicemails and
- Manage medication and supply inventory, including proper cold-chain storage of hormones and peptides and accurate logging.
- Provide patients with hands-on training for self-administered injections and reinforce provider instructions on hormone therapy, peptide protocols, and lifestyle recommendations.
- Submit prescriptions to preferred pharmacies and respond to patient voicemails and portal messages in a timely fashion, routing clinical questions appropriately.
- Coordinate scheduling for follow-ups, lab draws, and care-plan check-ins.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the EHR in accordance with clinic and regulatory standards.
Skills
- Strong phlebotomy and injection technique with attention to patient comfort and safety.
- Working knowledge of the endocrine system and hormone optimization principles or a genuine willingness to learn; we provide training.
- Excellent interpersonal and patient-education skills; able to explain protocols in clear, approachable language.
- High attention to detail in documentation, specimen handling, and medication logging.
- Understanding of and adherence to HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Comfortable delivering a concierge-style patient experience.
Licenses & Certifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program — required
- CMA/RMA certification preferred; we'll also consider equivalent training and experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification — required
- Phlebotomy certification or demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture — required
- IV certification or hands-on infusion therapy experience a plus

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
