Job Overview
The teacher would serve as the Part-Time Biology Teacher, teaching one course (three 50-minute classes a week) for grades 9-11, including lab. We ask that you come with your own classroom curriculum, though we do have a lab curriculum we can provide if needed. Our school day goes from approximately 8 AM-4PM, and so this might be an ideal opportunity for a Biology teacher looking for some additional hours and income, who is available at the beginning or end of the day. It is also a great opportunity for someone seeking a few hours in the middle of the day.

Duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
- Deliver engaging and interactive classroom instruction to high school students
- Tie in didactic teaching with lab sessions when appropriate.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles
- Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and projects
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and respectful learning environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum two to five years teaching experience, preferably at the high school level, including laboratory.
- Strong knowledge of the subject matter being taught
- Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective classroom management and behavior management skills
- Proficient in proofreading and providing constructive feedback on student work
- Teachers must be able to pass a background check and qualify for an IVP Fingerprint card
Potential Additional Functions:
