THE ROLE
Bluebird is seeking an experienced, dependable Bar Lead to support daily bar operations and help keep service running smoothly.
This is a hands-on, multi-position role performed entirely on-site. Depending on the scheduled shift, the Bar Lead may serve as a bartender and Shift Lead, act as Manager on Duty (MOD), or handle bar management responsibilities such as inventory counts, product ordering and receiving.
The right person is comfortable moving between guest-facing bar service and behind-the-scenes operational responsibilities while keeping the team organized, products stocked and the guest experience on track.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
- Serve as Shift Lead during scheduled bartender shifts
- Provide efficient, friendly bar service in a fast-paced outdoor environment
- Serve as Manager on Duty during designated shifts
- Support and guide bartenders and other team members during service
- Conduct regular bar inventory counts and maintain accurate records
- Monitor product levels and anticipate ordering needs
- Manage bar product ordering, receiving and organization
- Verify incoming deliveries for accuracy and condition
- Maintain proper product rotation and organized storage areas
- Follow established opening, closing, cash-handling and service procedures
- Address operational or guest-service issues as they arise
- Keep management informed of product, staffing or operational needs
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous bartending or bar-service experience, ideally in a beer, wine and ready-to-drink beverage environment
- Experience conducting inventory counts and managing product ordering and receiving
- Previous Shift Lead, Bar Lead or bar management experience
- Experience with Square Point of Sale systems
- Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
- Dependable, hands-on leadership style
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and events
THE DETAILS
Commitment: Part-time, hourly — hours and responsibilities vary based on the event and operating calendar
Location: Bluebird Social, Boise, Idaho — 100% on-site
Pay: $15–$25/hour, depending on applicable experience and the position worked during each shift
Bartender/Shift Lead Shifts: $15/hour, plus tips
MOD and Bar Management Duties: Higher hourly rate based on assigned responsibilities and experience, up to $25/hour
Experience: Bartending or bar-service experience required; Shift Lead or bar management experience preferred
Schedule: Flexible availability required, including evenings, weekends, holidays and event shifts
