Skills and Qualifications:
- Current, valid SLPA license with active certification number required
- Completed coursework or training specific to speech-language pathology assisting
- Experience in educational or pediatric settings ideal
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with supervising SLPs, educators, and families
- Compassionate, patient, and motivated to foster student growth and participation
- Organized, adaptable, and attentive to confidentiality and documentation standards
Core Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language interventions as designed by the supervising SLP
- Provide direct and indirect support to students with communication needs
- Accurately collect data on student progress and maintain records
- Prepare materials for therapy and classroom carryover
- Serve as a positive advocate for communication development within the school community
- Attend team meetings and contribute to IEP processes as appropriate
