Job Summary
Performance Personnel Services is seeking experienced Commercial Electricians to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial construction environments. Candidates must be safety-conscious, dependable, and capable of working independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time and according to code.
Compensation:
- Local Pay: $30 - $32.00/hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Install electrical systems, wiring, conduit, fixtures, panels, and equipment in commercial construction settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Bend and install EMT, RMC, PVC, and other conduit systems.
- Pull wire and terminate electrical devices, panels, switchgear, transformers, and lighting systems.
- Install and troubleshoot electrical circuits and control systems.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on commercial electrical systems.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment while following OSHA safety standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades to ensure project success.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of commercial electrical experience preferred.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Experience with conduit bending, wire pulling, and equipment installation.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and identify solutions.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred (OSHA 30 is a plus).
- Journeyman Electrician license preferred where applicable.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites.
- Must possess basic electrical hand tools and PPE.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
- Comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and elevated work platforms.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
