We are seeking an innovative and dedicated Permanent Failure Analysis Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating and determining the root cause of product failures, developing and implementing corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement efforts. This role is integral to our mission of delivering high-quality, reliable products to our customers. The position requires a deep understanding of various engineering concepts and principles, as well as a thorough knowledge of IPC, Oscilloscopes, Failure Analysis, Test, Labview, and NI TestStand.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform detailed failure analysis on both internal and customer returned products to identify root causes of failures.
2. Use various tools and techniques such as IPC, Oscilloscopes, Labview, and NI TestStand for failure analysis and troubleshooting.
3. Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of failures.
4. Communicate findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality teams.
5. Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance product reliability and performance.
6. Document all failure analysis activities, including observations, test results, conclusions, and recommendations.
7. Collaborate with the design team to incorporate failure analysis findings into product improvements and new product designs.
8. Provide technical support to customers and field service engineers as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in failure analysis or electrical testing, preferably in the aerospace industry.
3. Proficient in IPC, Oscilloscopes, Failure Analysis, Test, Labview, and NI TestStand.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and systematically.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical information.
6. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
7. Proven track record of driving continuous improvement efforts and implementing corrective actions.
8. Familiarity with quality standards and regulations in the Aerospace industry.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
10. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
